Our volunteers have organised a special railtour to Killarney on Saturday 16th November 2024 only. Departs Kildare at 09:35 and back at 20:10. Pick up at Portarlington at 09:46 (back for 20:00). Customers will have plenty of time to explore Killarney, its restaurants and craft shops.

A relaxing, scenic day trip from Kildare to Killarney.
Take a Christmas shopping trip with a difference year, and explore Killarney's fabulous craft shops and retail outlets. There's time for lunch too, with the Kerry town host to a plethora of fine restaurants to suit all palettes.
We'll pass castles, cross rivers and zip through glens, all making for a relaxing day out using Intercity standard carriages and with catering trolley service on board, offering passengers the chance to indulge in some pre-Christmas shopping in Killarney while taking in the beautiful sights of the Kerry line from a comfortable express train.
Choose Torc Class and we'll serve you snacks, souvenirs and a little bit of sparkling wine (over 18s only) on the journey down.
