About the event
A day tour from Dublin exploring three of Ireland's railway museums. This includes a visit to Belturbet Railway Heritage Centre, where trains of both of Ireland's main gauges met (5'3 standard gauge and 3' narrow gauge). A variety of locomotives and rolling stock of both gauges are on display here, and our guests will also receive complimentary tea/coffee.
Our tour the moves on to the Cavan & Leitrim Railway, Dromod, where we will take a steam train ride behind their beautifully restored 1902-vintage tank engine, Nancy.
Our third stop will be Hell's Kitchen bar in Castlerea, Co Roscommon. This is no ordinary bar, for it contains a railway museum, the largest artefact in which is a full size Metropolitian Vickers A class diesel locomotive. You can even have a pint inside it!
There will be time for passengers to get meals here.
