About Táilte Tours
 

Táilte Tours is a new, voluntary led initiative set up in 2022. Our organisational team currently consists of Niall Kelly, Alex Richardson and David Walsh, all of whom have long experience in heritage and tourist train operation and management. Our aim is to raise awareness for Ireland's voluntary run heritage railways and museums, and, where possible, also raising extra funds to help further their projects and other charitable causes. We also aim to promote rail travel to those who mightn't otherwise use it, while also providing educational resources on Ireland's rich railway history.

We aim to do this through holding railway-themed events, the first of which, in August 2022, was a railtour weekend visiting Tralee and Dromod. We have also operated a tour out of Cork and hope to do so from other locations in the future.
